I don't actually have a problem paying more for insurance. I have a huge problem being told that I will have to do that with what amounts to a pay decrease when you consider cost-of-living.

I have issues with admin not paying any insurance and having better benefits. Why are we as a staff picking up the tab. Isurance rates are lowered the more people you have paying into it. I want to know what the rates would be if we didn't cover admin share?? Would the rates go down?

I would like to know that also. It is a good question. The administration needs to tighten their belts too and make some sacrifices. I'm tired of it always being us. I just can't get past that payout for JM's doctorate. That was waaaay overpriced for a lousy online degree. What a joke. That really burns my ass.

Insurance is concern. For all the reasons stated: Insurance is group plan and all persons, participating in the plan, should be paying their fair share. Other group members should not be picking up the costs! Economy is bad and those who can afford the insurance MOST, should not be pushing their costs on those that can afford it LEAST.

Eployees hired before 1996 should pay a contribution for their insurance.
